How to Style Camo Capris for a Florida Fall

by Hope Cross · 5 min read

If you’ve been wondering how to style camo capris, let me show you six different ways I’ve been wearing mine using pieces I already own!

If there’s one thing about me, it’s that I’m going to wear my favorite pants approximately 47 different ways. And no, I’m not sorry about it.

Camo capris are having their moment, and I decided to see just how many outfits I could put together with one pair. The catch? Everything else came straight from my closet.

Six outfits, one pair of pants, and absolutely no reason to buy an entirely new wardrobe.
As a Florida girl, I’m especially loving this trend for fall. It’s October, but we’re still dressing for 85-degree afternoons over here. These are the perfect in-between piece until I can finally pull out my boots.

SAME PANTS, DIFFERENT PERSONALITY.

My favorite thing about these camo capris is the contrast. They’re a little tomboy, a little oversized, and somehow look SO good with feminine tops, dainty details, and kitten heels.

Here’s how I styled them six different ways.

01 / THE COOL GIRL BASIC: CAMO CAPRIS + A WHITE TOP

A white top, chunky silver jewelry, black sunglasses, and mesh ballet flats. Simple, but the accessories make it.
This is one of those outfits that looks like you tried harder than you actually did. My favorite kind.

02 / A LITTLE ROMANCE: CAMO PANTS WITH A LACE BABYDOLL TOP

Camo pants with a white lace babydoll top? YES PLEASE.
This is exactly why I love mixing masculine and feminine pieces. The delicate lace against the oversized cargo pants is such an unexpected combination. Add the beaded bag and amber necklace, and I’m sold.

03 / OFF-DUTY & ON REPEAT: CAMO CAPRIS + A BABY TEE

A little red-and-white baby tee, a woven bag, and my trusty Mary Janes.
Nothing complicated. Just a good everyday outfit with a little personality.
Also, can we appreciate how much a different hairstyle and a pair of glasses can change an entire look?

04 / FLORIDA FALL UNIFORM: CAMO + A CROPPED GRAPHIC LONG SLEEVE

A cropped graphic long-sleeve, oversized tote, sunglasses, and a claw clip. This is probably the closest we’re getting to sweater weather around here for now.
Perfect for running errands, grabbing coffee, or pretending there’s a crisp fall breeze outside.

05 / THE PLAID MOMENT: MIXING PLAID AND CAMO

Who said you can’t mix plaid and camo?
This little plaid peplum top adds such a feminine shape to the oversized pants. I love the warm-toned accessories with it, too.
Sometimes the combinations you wouldn’t normally put together end up being your favorites.

06 / LACE & A LITTLE ATTITUDE: CAMO + A LACE BLOUSE

Saving another favorite for last.
The romantic lace blouse, layered silver necklaces, and structured black bag make these same cargo capris feel completely different.
It’s the tomboy-meets-girly-girl combination again, and clearly I have a type.

CAMO CAPRIS FAQ

What shoes go with camo capris?

Mesh ballet flats, Mary Janes and black kitten heels all work with camo capris. And once it finally cools down? Boots.

How do you make camo pants look feminine?

Pair them with lace, a peplum top, delicate or layered necklaces, and a dainty shoe. The contrast between the oversized cargo pants and the girly pieces is the whole point.

Can you wear camo capris in the fall?

Yes, especially in Florida, where October still means 85-degree afternoons. Add a cropped long sleeve now and save the boots for when it’s actually cool.

A LITTLE REMINDER TO SHOP YOUR OWN CLOSET

As a mom of two, sometimes getting dressed is the last thing on my mind. Between the kids, work, laundry, and approximately a million other things, it’s easy to forget about the little things that make me feel like me.

But fashion has always been one of my creative outlets.

Sometimes putting together an outfit, even if I’m just running errands, makes me feel like myself again. Not because I need to look a certain way, but because I genuinely love getting creative with clothes. And the best part? That creativity doesn’t require a shopping spree.

So here’s your reminder to pull out something you already love and try wearing it differently. Switch your shoes. Mix your prints. Add the unexpected accessory. Wear your clothes. Repeat your outfits. Have fun with it. And as for these camo capris? Just wait until it’s cool enough to style them with boots.

You’ll be seeing them again. 😉
